We are in 2041. This story is about a group of people moving their homes and wandering from the regio Erbil, once called Kurdistian Region through via Mont Nemrut and then Istanbul to a new place in a community a forest somewhere close. Forests all over Europe have been transformed into city-like zones, where new alternative non-capitalist, non oppressive spaces emerged offering new ways of self-organized life where liberty, responability and mutality are in balance.
Climate change has impacted the life of people in ways only imagined ten years prior, Heatwaves became unbearable, affecting both agricultural production and access to water and making life almost impossible in regions closer to the equator. Luckly enough, there are alternatives and some of them not only feature natural livable environments, but new community-based and social frameworks, ones that are funded on a new, inclusive and responsability-infused liberty and welcome all.

You are now close to Mount Nemrut and live in a camp. You overhear an old couple next to you talking about their plans for when you all arrive one of those faboulous forests - the woman mentions all she wants is to be able to grow vegetables in her garden again, since the extreme wheather faced in recent years made that impossible. A man, presumably her partner, adds that he'd love to grow some flowers as well, to which she responds that this is highly unlikely, since all resources will be directed towards necessities, like growing food, not towards rather useless things that only look good.Double-click this passage to edit it.

"Liberty means individual agency and happiness. Hobbies and pursueing one's passions contribute to person's wellbeing and it would be a grave mistake to merely focus on people's basic survival level of needs. The new liberity includes the needs, desires and wishes of all who want to."
The group set out without resting because of the fear of running out of food and hunger. The journey to Istanbul seems to be a difficult one.

You arrive in Istanbul, the city of passage, since some years. Your group decides to split for a while and meet again in two days. This city turned into a city state the last years and it has a strict policy: Foreigners are only allowed to stay for three days. You get a tracker, when you enter the city through one of its gates. Meanwhile you met Cristina, at one of the places, where you get food and water. She lives in Rodnei Forest, which is in Romania. Cristina is an midaged women and she talks constantly about her community she came from, and how marvelous it is. Once she mentioned something very pecular. In case a conflict arises for example somebody is angry because her neighbor is too loud at night. In Rodnei Forest there is no rule like: It it is prohibited to be loud late night. There is for each "sat" (a zone of about five hectares) a group of 12 persons as diverse as possible, which discusses the case and proposes an action, there is no "solution" until everybody including the conflicting parties are "happy".

"Liberty and equal rights for all alone is not working. We need to reflect them constantly and be able to change the rules accordingly. Rules which prohibit certain activities are reduced to the minimum. This raises possibilities of conflicts, but more important is that everybody feels connected to each other. Conflicts might not get a solution, but damages need to get reduced to the maximum. Places where you can negotiated and raise issues become important. Liberty here is not about the right to do all you want, but the right to get a response. Liberty without responsibility and interconnectedness is merely harmful."
You joined Cristina's group.

A young man goes around asking people what crafts they like to practice. He is a skilled potter despite his age, he says. Someone endorses their sewing skills. You take a minute and think about your own set of skills - you are a mediocre cook, not handy at all and you find it difficult to be around people all day long. You are afraid you have nothing to bring to the table in terms of skills and that thus not be a valuable member of the community. What do you tell yourself?

"There is this widespread belief that community-centered means everybody has to have something practical to bring to the table and to share with others, in order to be a member of the community and to benefit from the perks that come along. While this would be great, we acknowledge that some people cannot perform such tasks and this does not mean they are unfit to experience the sense of community."
